Comedian Adam Sandler conducted the star-studded wedding of pop sensation Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce. The pair both wore Christian Dior, according to Swift’s longtime publicist, and chose not to have bridesmaids and groomsmen. Rather, the groom’s best man was retired American football player Jason Kelce, and Swift’s brother Austin Swift was her man of honor.
The celebration at Madison Square Garden shuttered one of Manhattan’s busiest avenues and pulled out Hollywood’s A-list for what was likely the bash of the century. Among those seen were model Gigi Hadid, singer Benson Boone, and actors Hugh Grant and Jason Sudeikis. Throughout the day on Friday, throngs of fans gathered outside; some were wearing concert merchandise and humming Swift songs, while others scaled scaffolding in an attempt to get a closer look at the celebrations.
The celebration in the arena got out on Thursday with a considerably smaller affair, when a reported 100 people were thought to attend. A permit issued with New York City officials dubbed the gathering a “pre-party”. A tent almost twice in size was set up outside the arena on Friday due to a much bigger event.
