According to her representative, actress Selma Blair was taken to the hospital and is now in “stable condition” after what is said to have happened on a commercial trip from Los Angeles to New York City on Sunday night.
Port Authority media relations say that police were called to a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to John F. Kennedy Airport because a passenger was being physically abusive. The suspect was named as Selma Blair, and she was arrested and then taken to the hospital to be checked out, according to the police.
The Port Authority said two flight attendants were hurt, and one was taken to the hospital for more tests. The FBI is investigating the incident. To CNN, the New York field office said that the FBI “does not comment on ongoing investigations.
CNN obtained dispatch audio from air traffic control that said medical staff should meet the flight arriving at JFK on Sunday night because two flight attendants needed medical care. Delta Air Lines told CNN that the company “has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behaviour, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.” The airline also said police met the plane when it arrived.
On Monday, Blair’s rep said that the actress “had a medical emergency” that caused the alleged behaviour. It also said that Blair “received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition” after landing.
