As Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy are ready to meet on the fringes of the UN General Assembly, we spoke with Vsevolod Chentsov, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Governments can now establish migrant detention facilities in non-EU nations thanks to a recent revision of the EU’s immigration laws, but there are still concerns over who will foot the bill. Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Tasos Chatzivasileiou is interviewed by Mared Gwyn on the subject.
The discussions will be held outside of the 81st UN General Assembly session. Zelenskyy had earlier stated that the Ukrainian delegation will be holding about 20 meetings in New York, including the one with Trump.
One of the main subjects of the discussions, according to Western media reports, will be a potential mutual moratorium by Russia and Ukraine on strikes against energy infrastructure. Due to the state of the world fuel market, Trump has called on Kyiv to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries in recent days.
