Apple has accused OpenAI of employing its former employees in order to obtain important insider information. Apple accused the artificial intelligence (AI) business, two of its workers, and io Products of “a pattern of theft” of Apple’s exclusive product development and associated work in a federal lawsuit filed on Friday.
It is reported that at least two longtime Apple employees who left the business to join OpenAI participated in this trend by sending themselves internal Apple material via email. OpenAI spokesperson Drew Pusateri told the BBC, “We have no interest in other companies’ trade secrets.”
According to Pusateri, the business is “focused on building innovative technology that empowers people everywhere.” It is currently examining Apple’s complaint. The BBC was informed by an Apple representative that the case is the outcome of “significant evidence.”
It signifies a significant change in the relationship between Apple and OpenAI, the company behind the well-known AI chatbot ChatGPT. In an effort to provide more AI features, Apple’s departing CEO, Tim Cook, integrated ChatGPT into Apple products.
