Mykhailo Fedorov stated on Wednesday that he was fired as defense minister by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as part of his most recent government reorganization.Since the cabinet reorganization was announced on Sunday, Fedorov’s role in the defense ministry has been the subject of the most conjecture and criticism directed at Zelenskyy for thinking about firing him. The dismissal was first confirmed by Fedorov, who wrote on social media, “It was a great honor to serve the Ukrainian people as Defence Minister.
Fedorov then enumerated his team’s key successes and setbacks throughout the course of his six-month tenure. Fedorov mentioned the fight against Russian supplies in occupied Crimea, the cutoff of Starlink systems for Russian soldiers, and “an unpopular but extremely important” military reform program.
Fedorov tweeted, “I want to thank everyone who is fighting for victory and defending Ukraine.”I am grateful to my entire team for their efficient 24/7 service, he remarked. I’ll keep working toward the goal I set out to accomplish when I joined the Defence Ministry: to defeat the enemy by using our organization’s power, speed, and asymmetry.
