The 41-year-old, who is the all-time leading scorer in the league’s history, departed the Los Angeles Lakers last month after eight years. James has won an NBA title with each of the three teams he has played for. He won two with Miami, who earlier this week accidentally provided a link to a ‘introductory press conference’ for James. The video was produced by personnel preparing for the potential of James returning to the team he played for from 2010-2014, a Heat official told Reuters.
James had two spells with Cleveland either side of that Miami spell, having been drafted by them in 2003 and being based near his home town of Akron, Ohio. He was a key member of the Cavs’ 2016 NBA championship team, then joined the Lakers in 2018 and won another NBA title two years later.
