Revolut Dlans to Develop a Platform for Investing in Private tech Firms

Private technology companies are taking longer to go public, with the median listing age rising from 6.9 years in 2014 to 11 years in 2025, according to data cited by Revolut in a Monday announcement. This means that the majority of growth occurs before shares are available to individual investors on public markets.Rolandas Juteika, Head of Revolut Wealth and Trading (EEA) at Revolut, noted that Revolut Ventures aims to eliminate retail investor exclusion from non-listed firms, a final barrier in wealth management.

Value development takes place long before an IPO, and by operating our own platform, we provide everyday investors with access to tomorrow’s industry leaders directly via the Revolut app,” Juteika concluded.

The new platform is scheduled to launch in 2027 and will be integrated into the Revolut app alongside existing investing alternatives such as stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), bonds, and money market funds. The news comes after private market investment products are introduced in some European Economic Area (EEA) nations in July 2026.
