Russia and Ukraine are still exchanging gunfire as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy travels to Canada to meet with leader Mark Carney. Russian nocturnal attacks claimed the lives of at least three individuals. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 128 of the 149 drones that Moscow used to attack Ukraine overnight between Wednesday and Thursday were intercepted. According to the statement, they were launched from 13 locations in Russia, including Kursk and Millerovo, as well as from the temporarily seized areas of Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration, stated on Telegram that a late Russian attack on a shopping center parking lot in Sumy on Wednesday resulted in at least three fatalities and fourteen injuries, including a teenager.
According to Kharkiv’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov, attacks on the eastern city have resulted in at least two injuries when drones destroyed a residential building. Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defence Council, stated on Telegram that two persons were critically injured in another large-scale attack that struck a residential structure in the city’s center.
After responding to a fire on a market in the Western city of Khmelnytskyi, which was caused by fallen debris from a Russian drone attack, four firefighters were admitted to the hospital. According to officials, a subsequent explosion injured the firefighters.
The Novy Urengoy and Purovsky gas condensate plants, located in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug region, one of Russia’s most important oil and gas regions, were hit by drones that travelled 3,000 kilometres, according to Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces, which claimed to have carried out their deepest strike inside Russia.
