As Kyiv increases long-range drone assaults to put pressure on the Kremlin to resolve its four-year conflict, Ukraine reported on Tuesday that it has struck one of Russia’s biggest satellite communication hubs for the second time in just over a week.
According to President Volodymr Zelensky, the Dubna Satellite Communications Center, located north of Moscow and around 500 kilometers (310 miles) from the Ukrainian border, is utilized for intelligence collection and the coordination of Russia’s armed forces engaged in combat in Ukraine.
The governor of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov, stated that a drone damaged a “administrative building” in the town, but no casualties were recorded. Russia has not acknowledged that the Dubna communication center was hit.
Additionally, according to Vorobyov, a six-month-old infant perished on Tuesday after a drone struck a house in Yegoryevsk, southeast of Moscow, trapping occupants beneath debris. Vorobyov stated on his Telegram channel that two adults and two children were rescued, but the baby passed away en route to the hospital. In another incident, a shot-down “enemy drone” struck a residential vacation residence in the western Tver region of Russia, killing a 61-year-old woman, according to local police.
