In one of Kyiv’s biggest aerial assaults since Russia’s full-scale invasion of the nation started in early 2022, Ukraine launched hundreds of drones across Russia on Sunday, striking military enterprises and energy infrastructure and killing at least six people.
This year, Kyiv has increased its use of drones and long-range missiles to attack Russia. In addition to attacking military and energy targets, it has increasingly attacked Wildberries facilities, destroying goods valued at billions of dollars that belonged to the massive Russian online retailer.
A steel facility in Kryvyi Rih, one of the biggest steel factories in Ukraine, was attacked overnight and into Sunday, killing two workers. Zelenskyy reaffirmed that Russia has been attacking Ukraine with North Korean ballistic missiles and called for the mobilization of European missile interceptors to assist Ukraine instead of letting them “sit in storage.
Over 1,500 drones have been launched into Ukraine by Russia in the last week, according to the president of Ukraine. Two persons were killed in Belgorod and Moscow, where the Ukrainian military said it was targeting military factories and energy installations, while five people perished in the southern province of Rostov, according to Russian authorities.
