According to information given to the Polish press by the National Police Headquarters, the number of attacks in Poland motivated by nationality is continuously rising. A rude attack on adolescent girls from Ukraine on a municipal bus in Bielsko-Bě has already received extensive media coverage this month. The girls were verbally attacked, threatened, and humiliated by an adult male simply because they spoke Ukrainian.
267 reports of alleged hate crimes were submitted by Ukrainians residing in Poland in 2024. That figure increased to 275 in 2025. The 180 reports submitted in the first half of 2026 already show an increase of almost 35% over 2024 and more than 30% over the same period last year.
“Kaczyński, Braun, and Czarnek are doing a great deal to ensure that the brown wave spreads across Poland,” wrote Marcin Kierwiński, Minister of Interior and Administration, on X. Both foreigners and Poles are among the victims. For everyone who has fallen in love with hatred, I have a message: the police will always react decisively. There will be no tolerance.
