Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump held what officials described as an “extremely positive” meeting in Washington on Tuesday, reaffirming their shared commitment to ensuring Iran never acquires nuclear weapons. A senior source in Netanyahu’s delegation said the leaders had an “excellent and comprehensive” discussion, with Iran remaining the top priority on the agenda.
The 90-minute talks were described by the White House as “positive and productive.” Both leaders reiterated their commitment to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons while continuing diplomatic efforts to address regional tensions.
Before departing for Washington, Netanyahu said the discussions would focus on key regional issues, particularly Iran, while also aiming to strengthen Israel’s security and expand peace efforts in the Middle East. The meeting marked the first White House talks between the two leaders since their joint military campaign involving Iran and came as diplomatic efforts continue alongside ongoing regional tensions.
